Privacy

Within our sessions I will make notes on the information that is provided to me. This allows me to plan for our current and future sessions.
I am required to keep all personal details and client notes for 7 years which after this time will be securely destroyed.
Under the data protection act May 2018, you have the following rights:

The right to access if you wish to see your notes
If at any time you wish to see your notes, please provide this request in writing and I will provide this to you within 14 days.
As I am not medically trained, I do not have the right to diagnose or give feedback on a new or existing medical condition. However, I do require honestly from my clients and any known medical conditions are provided within the initial consultation.
Please note that your contact details will not be used for marketing purposes unless you have given me the right to do so.
Covid 19
For the safety of my clients and myself it is advised that face covering is worn throughout the session except for those that are exempt.
Hand sanitiser is advised to be used when entering and leaving the premises.
The right to restrict processing
I will need to weigh the duty to keep confidence against the concept of the greater good when I may need to contact your GP or other appropriate agencies.
The sharing of anonymous case histories with supervisors and peer support groups is not a breach of professional confidentiality.
